protein french toast bites
this single serve breakfast is super easy and a great way to start your day with 30 grams of protein! π π
ingredients:
-about 1 cup cubed bread (i used sourdough)
-1 egg + 1 egg white
-1/2 cup Fairlife milk
-1/4 cup vanilla greek yogurt
-1/2 scoop of protein powder
-dash of cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract
steps:
1. start by cubing your bread into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl.
2. in a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, yogurt, protein powder, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract until combined (itβs okay if it still has chunks!)
3. add wet mixture to cubed bread mix to coat every piece.
4. let sit for about 15 minutes and turn your greased pan up to medium-high heat.
5. once mixture has sat and pan is hot, add mix to pan and cook until edges are crispy and browned.
6. serve with toppings of choice! (i added Greek yogurt, strawberries, and pure maple syrup!)

*to make a french toast bake/casserole, use the same ratios and just quadruple everything!
